Visionaries Changing Lives

Leading the Charge to Improve Health Outcomes

The Unsaid Matters

Because not all voices are heard, we are dedicated to hearing what’s not said. We do that by helping our patients be an advocate for themselves. Educating them makes them more comfortable and confident to ask the question they so desperately want and need the answers to. We’re committed to being empathetic, confidential, and approachable in our communications and care.

Meet Nurse Nikita

My name is Nikita, and I grew up on the west side of Chicago. As a kid, I always wanted to be a teacher, but my mom's debilitating health condition, epilepsy, had other plans for me. Being young, I would have to watch my mom when she had episodes and felt powerless and hopeless. We never had anyone tell us what to do, how to help her, and things to watch/notice. I would watch my mom go to the doctor and leave 5 minutes later with no questions regarding her seizures or blood work.

As I got older, I started to question the doctors and the medication and grew a passion for wanting to help others. I would be in the waiting room helping patients with things so simple as asking them how many times they are taking their medications and them saying once a day when the bottle reads BID (twice a day). I learned that many patients weren't getting well not because of the disease or sickness but because the Doctors were extremely busy and lacked patient teaching. I decided to go to school as Nurse and focus on patient education.
